TALES OF HEARTS R ENGLISH PATCH SERIES
It will be released for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, XBox Series X/S, and PC. The latest game in the series, Tales of Arise, comes out worldwide on September 10th. As a Vita game Hearts R is low budget, despite having good gameplay.A subreddit for fans of the "Tales of" series published by Namco Bandai! Tales of Arise Most people are grateful, but giving proper feedback is also important.Īs for the release itself, I won't enter the details, but when I say this game is low budget, it's not because I compare it to its DS counterpart (that wasn't particularly high budget either, more like the DS version decided to revert to 2D to have more control over some aspects of the game, and it became their best DS entry, that entirely fit its hardware). I thought it was an above average re-release and since I hadn't played the original there was no way I could notice the differences. I am just grateful I got to play an official release of Hearts.

Even without context some stuff are funny, but every episode was so full of references to a bazillion of things that I got really used to footnotes & the dedication of fansubs for this show.

Tbh, I hadn't serious/mindfucking shows in mind at first tho. But I also understand people who don't want them.

I'm always fine with footnotes, it's a shame when a show is misunderstood after all. It's hard to find the right balance, to let the public notice stuff by themselves (which is rewarding) or to hint the more obscure refs. If you were talking about the actual context of this futuristic Japan, based on some imaginary stuff and some Japanese historical references, this on the other hand may be necessary for a bunch of people.

Actually GiTS in general makes a bunch of name dropping to make sure that people won't miss the references (I particularly remember the Innocence movie for that). But I do think that some references are explicit enough to be understood by all (like you can hardly be more explicit than a poster with "Go See Bananafish", or by actually referencing and showing the books they're talking about).
